About us

Founded in 2015, Enrich Fiscal Fitness started out as a side hustle to teach small groups of female friends around the kitchen table about money.

Topics roamed. From demystifying the purpose of The Fed to decrying the costs of being a bridesmaid, nothing was off the table - in the truly safe space of the monthly workshops, different women grew strong, revealed obstacles, conquered debt, practiced asking for promotions, fired their “financial advisors”, started regular money date nights with their partners, quit jobs, traveled internationally, bought property, invested in stocks, birthed babies, mourned grievous losses, got married, or found lifelong friends.

Word of mouth spread and friends of friends signed up to form new groups. By day, Helen (Founder & CEO) was working as an executive at a premium cable network, negotiating against powerful agents, lawyers, studios and distributors. By night, she was explaining different tax-advantaged retirement accounts, the time value of money, the compounding costs of credit card balances, and how to maximize take-home salary.

She holds an MFA from USC in film producing, a BA from UC Berkeley in English literature, and a certificate of Financial Management from Cornell University. She serves on the Board of Directors of WIF, formerly Women in Film, is a member of TED (you know, as in TED talks) and the Television Academy (ATAS).

Helen teaches personal finance from her experiences in real life — from financial insecurity to confident, financial independence, regardless of marital status — and explains Fin Lit distilled in the simplest and most effective ways she can find.

Over the past decade, Enrich Fiscal Fitness has grown into a friend-filled community that connects, empowers and celebrates the daily wins of women. We produce monthly mixers for women, donate workshops to select non-profit organizations, and are mixing IRL accountability with online services.

Our Enrich Fiscal Fitness go-to-team and Advisory Circle include: female finance professionals, female accountants, female attorneys, female executives, female video editors and female producers, and some men, too! — all invested in the enrichment of women for a better world.
